We are a management education and research firm that focuses on cutting edge issues in operations, organization, and technology utilization.

Hammer and Company is a business education and research firm that focuses on cutting-edge issues in operations, organization, and management. The centerpiece of our work is the concept of business process. By redesigning their processes, by measuring and managing them, and by organizing around them, companies are able to achieve unprecedented and sustainable improvements in operating performance.

Dr. Michael Hammer has changed forever how businesses do business. He is the originator of reengineering and the process enterprise, managerial innovations that have now become part of standard business practice. Check out Dr. Hammer's full bio.

We help enterprises capitalize on the power of process in several ways:

Our Process Curriculum of courses on process management and process design teach the skills needed to create and manage high-performance enterprises. Many companies find it valuable to put large numbers of people through these courses in order to develop a process orientation throughout their organizations. Individuals who complete the entire curriculum receive a Certificate of Process Mastery. More than 20,000 people have attended these courses.

Our Forum + Clinic Seminar Series probes the state of the art across a broad range of contemporary issues. The topics vary from year to year, but all seminars feature both case studies of leading-edge companies presented by executives of these companies and tutorials presented by Dr. Hammer and other leading scholars and thinkers. We have presented more than 80 seminars on different topics, such as supply chain integration, ERP implementation, new measurement systems, and six sigma. These seminars have featured some 600 speakers including Bill Gates, Michael Porter, and Larry Bossidy. They have been attended by nearly 30,000 people.

Our Phoenix Consortium offers companies committed to process excellence a series of research studies and programs, as well as important opportunities for sharing experiences and best practices.

Upon request, we are able to develop and offer customized in-house educational programs for audiences from small groups of senior managers to large numbers of employees.
